About Vidya Mandir CBSE School Sedam

Sri Kottala Basaveshwar Bharatiya Shikshana Samiti’s Vidya mandir CBSE School was started in 2006 with only 58 students and 6 staff members at Kanagadda Trust Sedam to Provide CBSE syllabus English Medium education to the rural students of Sedam with the interest from the alumini of our samiti. Then it came out its own building in the Nrupatunga College campus sedam in 2010. Next it got affiliation with CBSE New Delhi affliation no. 830345 in 2011. 10 batches of Class X were passed ouot from our school. Now they are serving our country by working in various sectors like medicine, engineering, Govt services, business etc. At present our school contains 944 students 47 teaching staff, 3 non teaching staff and 14 supporting staff.

Overall Development at VMS:

Our School provides a value based education for the all-round development of a child. Apart from Intellectual development, focus is also given on the Emotional, Psychological, Physical and Spiritual development in order to bring the holistic growth in the students.

Intellectual Development:

At VMS CBSE psychological and academic ambience is provided by ensuring vibrant creative and innovative environment to the child, where the teacher deliberately provokes the student to think and ask questions, challenge them with new ides, as a result of which the entire process seeps into child’s subconscious mind that learning is an active and joyous process. It follows xseed curriculum from nursery to grade 5.

Physical Development:

Indoor and outdoor games are conducted to make the child physically fit as healthy mind revolves round a healthy body. Utmost importance is given to child’s physical fitness, health and well-being as it is essential for the all- development.

Psychological Development:

Yoga is essentially a way of life that integrates the means of harmonizing the body, mind and spirit that elevates the child psychologically. There are eight steps: Yama, Nijyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pranayama, Prarthyahara, Dhaarand, Dhyana and Samadhi which elevates the psychological aspect of the student. Through a series of postures, breathing exercised, Asanas, Mudras, pranayama and Meditation children are enlightened. That helps them to plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, proceed proceed positively and pursue persistently so as to create their own beautiful world.

Emotional Development:

Children are ‘Emotionally” enriched by learning dance, drame, music, art and crafts along with celebration of various Jayanthi’s and Festivals of the rich Bharatiya Culture, Heritage and Strong Ethical Values. As aresult of which child’s personality is enriched and enlightened with love, loyalty and proactive patriotism in general, family, society and our motherland in specific.

Spiritual Development:

We ensure ‘Spiritual’ environment filled with serenity, joy and beauty which are consciously cultivated through prayers, chanting of Shlokas, Bhagwad Geeta and Veda Mantras as a part of regular activity.
